The #faceyourart challenges made me see that almost every piece of #art I did this year, almost every #illustration, was done digitally. Thats been a crazy experience. A lot of the artists I follow have been posting time lapse videos of them creating their drawings and its been very inspiring and motivating to try something new. I am finally confident that I can create an entire piece of art from scratch, digitally. I believe it’s changed the way I work. Its helped me see more of my flaws faster, helped me correct them faster, and has me excited to make more art.

This is my traditional posting as I #faceyourart! During this pandemic, I put my energies toward raising some money for comic book shops through the Book Industry Charitable Foundation (BINC, @thinkingbinc). I took to social media to determine who I’d draw in my efforts to draw traditionally and these are some of the most often requested! I did more than this, but these were the ones either auctioned off or done as commissions afterward. It was nice to have that pressure of putting something down that couldn’t be undone or edited. It made me more focused and I believe except for a few exceptions, I rose to the challenge! At the very least, I learned from this experience and next, you’ll see some evidence of that in my digital upload!

I found #AReasontoSmile the other day, as it was nice and hot and sunny all day! I was able to enjoy a nice bike ride from the #WilliamsburgBridge all the way down to the #Fultonst train station! That structure us really beautiful!
